1. What was your first finished project?
Ooh this is a hard one. You see I wasn’t a knitter first. When I was little I was a cross stitcher. And by little I mean 7 or 8. This means I have no idea what my first completed cross stitch was, but the one I remembered most and, until recently, was on the bedroom wall in my parents house was this.
This is not mine. It is the same pattern but from eBay.
I mean at the age where I loved cross stitch I did crochet and knit but not very successfully. I always became impatient. Crochet or really stuck with me when I was about 17. And knitting? The very kind ladies at knit and natter taught me about 9 months ago with much patient on their behalf and much swearing on mine. So I suppose the first thing I knitted when I had official learnt to knit was my baby hat. That was too big to be a hat for a baby. Way too big, it fit my teenage brother. But what it was was very neat.
For my first completed project looking back at it now in very proud.
aw that pooh design is cute. That knitting is sooooo neat! 🙂
Thank you! As I said looking back in very proud of my first knitting now even though at the time I really dislikes it.
its nice looking back on past projects and feeling that way I think 🙂
I love your first knitted project! Much neater than my first attempt! I’d love to do this challenge but I don’t think I have been knitting for long enough or worked on enough projects yet. Like you, I started with cross stitch then crochet, I’m still working on my knitting! Maybe in a couple of years I’ll do this though! (I’ll probably still be working on my never-ending scarf then!!!)
Honestly I’ve only been knitting for 9 months so I don’t really have much experience either. I’m hoping the challenge will convince me to finish more projects.
just letting you know Ive nominated you for the Liebster award 🙂
